Privacy policy

Last updated November 5, 2026

Mommy MD is run by Justin Leaf-Clark. It keeps a patient's health information so they and their family can look after their health. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices the patient has.

The short version

  • We never sell health information.
  • We never use it for advertising.
  • We only collect it with the patient's permission.
  • The patient can ask to see it, or delete it, at any time.

What we collect

  • Hospital records from MyChart, after the patient signs in and allows it. See the full list.
  • Health and device readings the patient allows through Apple Health, such as weight, blood pressure, heart rate, sleep and activity.
  • Heart recordings from their personal heart monitor.
  • What people add, such as how the patient feels, symptoms, voice notes, family notes and messages.
  • Doctor visit recordings, only when someone chooses to record a visit.
  • Location from the patient's phone, shared with family admins for safety, if the patient allows it.
  • Account details, such as family members' names and email addresses.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

  • To show the patient and their family one complete record.
  • To give daily tips and explain results in plain words.
  • To let the family know when something needs attention.
  • To help prepare for doctor visits.

Who handles it

We share information only with the companies that run the app for us, and only so the app can work:

CloudflareHosts the app and stores its data
AnthropicProvides the AI that reads the record and writes tips and summaries
AppleDelivers notifications to iPhones
ClerkHandles sign-in. It holds names and email addresses, not health information
AssemblyAITurns recordings of doctor visits into text, only when someone records a visit
TwilioSends emergency text messages to family members

If we add a company, we will list it here before it receives any information. We may also share information if the law requires it, or if the patient asks us to.

Health privacy laws

Mommy MD is a tool the patient chooses to use for themselves. It is not a hospital, a doctor's office or a health plan. Information that leaves MyChart at the patient's request is covered by this policy, and it may no longer be covered by the rules that apply to the hospital.

How we protect it

All connections are encrypted. Access requires a personal login. Keys and connection tokens are kept as server secrets. The patient approves who can see their record and can remove anyone at any time. The app keeps a history of who opened what, which the patient can see in the app. No system is perfectly secure, so if something goes wrong, we will tell the patient and their family.

Keeping and deleting information

We keep the record for as long as the patient uses the app. The patient can ask us to delete all of it at any time by writing to privacy@mommymd.co. We will confirm when it is done. When the account is closed, we delete the whole database, its backups and all files. Deleting our copy does not change what is in their MyChart.

The patient can also stop new records coming in at any time by removing Mommy MD from their MyChart account.

Children

Mommy MD is for adults and is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and tell the family.
